I had to go to Garden City last weekend to spread some holiday cheer. After I was done, I stopped at the IGA on Jefferson and Main; when I was a kid it was still Dominion. I remember riding the coin operated horse.
As I was leaving, I was stopped by a customer. She told me how much she and her husband love their Hypnos Mattress; when he gets up she doesn’t even notice it. She said it the best bed they have every had; their last bed was specially made for them and thereis no comparison to the bed they have now.
Also, as I was leaving IGA I noticed that the West Kildonan Curling Club is now a Rolling Skating Rink. Back when I was in high school, I used to curl at the club. Whenever I go
back to West Kildonan and Garden City so many places from my past have disappeared and most have been replaced with new exciting places.
